A new home and almost a new year

It's been a while since I blogged and it's hard to know where to start since so much has happened in the last few months.

I have been wanting to share about the Weekend to Remember in Park City. It's a Family Life marriage conference. We went last year as well and loved it so much we decided to go again this year. It was a little different and we did have different speakers. We didn't stay at the Marriott this year but the place we did stay was just right behind the Marriott at a place called Carriage House. We got a really good deal on our room and were excited to have a little kitchenette and table so that we wouldn't have to eat out but it was so warm in the room that I didn't sleep very well the first night and when I got into the shower the next morning I was a little uncomfortable with the fact that there were cracks all in the bottom of the tub. I am more the type of person to deal with being uncomfortable rather than to ask for a change but I figured I could ask for an upgrade and be willing to pay the difference in cost for the next night. I was blown away when they gave us a huge room the second night and didn't charge the difference.

The conference was great too, I would love to share my favorite part but it's been a couple months ago now and I really don't remember one specific thing. Park City is so beautiful that time of year!
So when we got home from the conference, we had a new apartment waiting for us to move into. We signed the papers the day before we left for Park City and we could move in anytime. It took us a couple weeks before we could really live there but we did it and even though we're still slowly moving stuff over from my folk's place, we love our new apartment and Allie seems to love it as well.

So October was a busy month for us, November not so much, despite our efforts to have a guest for Thanksgiving dinner, we spent it alone in our new apartment.
Last week I went to a Women's Christmas Luncheon at church. Alison had a great message and Shelly sang beautifully. The next couple of weeks will be very busy too. December has been happening so fast that before I know it, it's going to be 2010!
