So I've been listening to some various sermons from Pastor Steele Croswhite from The Rock Church in Salt Lake. One thing I've noticed, other than his serious undying passion for the gospel, is that he points out that the human brain is only 3 pounds quite often. I can't say that it's every sermon because I haven't listened to every sermon but he says it in every one of them I have listened to. His way of teaching is so fantastic that I just can't say enough nice things about listening to his sermons
but I do chuckle every time I hear him say "three pound brain" The latest one was that he was trying to get the point across about just how great and powerful and awesome our God is, which is next to impossible since it's beyond our comprehension, but he said "God is God and we have a three pound brain". Basically that we cannot measure how great and powerful and awesome our God is, but we can measure our abilities to what fits inside a three pound brain. Everything we do, everything that we think and all the ways we function are controlled by no more than a three pound brain. Which is quite a bit, but nothing compared to that of God. We don't even have a number to measure God's greatness, power and awesomeness! It's such a awesome thing to just sit back and think about.
